Textiles, Tariffs, and Supply Chain Resilience
From history, we have learned that, during times of crisis and unease, diversification of resources is the key to not only surviving but thriving. Recent tariffs and trade wars have temporarily upset the global supply chain to include the textile industry. But WestPoint Home is perfectly poised to withstand these events through several smart business moves over the last few months and years.
First of all, we have long enjoyed the benefit of owning a US manufacturing facility in Chipley, Florida. This plant provides our company stateside supplies and storage facilities. Our other manufacturing facility in Bahrain enjoys favorable taxes and tariffs with the US as well. We also have other North American suppliers and additional storage in the US West. These goods, since they are already within the US, are not subject to the new tariffs.
These assets are the perfect example of a resilient supply chain, and WestPoint Hospitality has worked hard to anticipate, not react, to the recent changes in economic conditions. Our actions will enable us to continue providing high-quality textiles to our customers in the US and abroad.
